Five More Layouts to Share

I'm still on a roll and have some more layouts to share.  I have 19 done so far for my friends' album and guessing I have about 18 left to go - yikes!

This one is scraplifted from Sara Andrews - using DCWV Heirloom Christmas Stack.  I loved Sara's simple layout that used the paper as the focal point, so I just had to do my own similar layout.  No Cricut cuts on this one.

This next layout uses cuts from Christmas Solutions (tree), Plantin Schoolbook (the circle) and Winter Frolic (phrase) cartridges,

Christmas Solutions was used for the rocking horse.  The middle horse was flipped using the Gypsy.

Phrase is from Winter Woodland.  One of the snowflakes is from Accent Essentials but I can't remember what cartridge the other one is on.  For the white scalloped layer, I took 4 scalloped squares (from Kate's ABCs) and welded them together with the gypsy so that the scallops were smaller - if you just enlarge one scalloped squares the scalloped end up being stretched.

For this last layout, I believe "Santa" is cut from Christmas Solutions.

Even more layouts...

Paper is from my stash - it's some old paper that I've had from year's from Paper Pizazz.  Cuts are from Baby Steps.

Paper is from my stash.  The zebra stripes were printed from the Teresa Collins Black and White Imagine Cartridge.  Font is from Nate's ABCs and the cute zebra is from the B is for Boy cartridge.

And More Layouts

Hi!

Continuing on with more layouts for my friends' album ....

The boat is from Life's a Beach and the phrase is from Simply Charmed - I used the gypsy to hide the faces on the "a" and the "b".  The paper is from my stash - something that I've had since I first started scrapbooking.  I had been saving it for pages from a trip to Boston that I took in 2000, but figured it's been almost 13 years so it's time to finally use up.

The next layout uses DCWV papers.  Font is from Kate's ABCs.  I would have used Disney's Pooh Font, but I didn't think about it until after I put together the page and decided it needed something more...which is when I added Winnie the Pooh and Tigger - both are from the Disney Pooh Font cartridge and are cut at 2.5".

My creativity has slowed down quite a bit since I first started this project.  My hope is to get at least 1, if not 2, more pages done today.  Wish me luck!

Some More Scrapbook Layouts

Here's some more layouts that I did...

The below I scraplifted from a DCWV example.  Paper is DCWV - Serenity Stack.  "Family" and "Memories" were cut out of the Teresa Collins Sophisticated Cricut Cartridge.

Paper is a combination of DCWV and Vintage Papers printed from the Cricut Imagine.  'Joy' was cut from Joys of the Season and sprayed with Smootch.

Paper is from DCWV Heirloom and Recollections Paisley and Damask.  Ornaments are from Celebrate with Flourish.

So far I have 9 pages done for my friends' family album and lots more to go :)  It's taking me a fair amount of time to come up with a layout that fits each particular picture and, of course, it's taking even longer for me to find the 'right' papers for each layout.  With the way they are turning out, I definitely think the  time has been well spent.  Hopefully my friends will like it as much as I do.

More Scrapbook Layouts for 2013

Hi Again!

I have some more layouts that I'm making for my friends' album.  I'm really happy with how the pages look and am excited that I already have 6 pages completed in just 2 days, since it can usually take me 2 days or more to just complete one layout :)

The paper for this first 2 layouts were printed on the Cricut Imagine after much frustration with trying to get the machine to work.  Thank goodness for the Cricut MB in order to troubleshoot and get it working again.

Font below is from Teresa Collins Sophisticated Cricut Cartridge.

The majority of these papers were cut from the Imagine Bubblegum Stripes cartridge, except for the cloud paper which is from Hopscotch.  Font is from Hannah Montana - Daddy's Girl Font.

The next papers are from DCWV Bright and Guy Stacks and Recollections Paisley and Damask Stack.  Frog and phrase are cut from Create A Critter.  Flowers are from Pack Your Bags.

Starting 2013 with Scrapbook Layouts

Hi Everyone!

Happy New Years!  We spent New Year's eve at our friends' house - dinner, wine and great conversation.  I was honored when my friends asked if I would want to put together a scrapbook of their family photos.  They offered to pay me, but since it's something I love to do I am not going to charge them for my time but just for the materials.  Since most of their professional photos are of their son (their daughter was just born in October), and I have a girl, I realized that I don't have much in the way of boy appropriate papers.  So, a trip to the store was in order.

For those that follow my blog, you know that I love the value of the DCWV stacks.  True not every pattern is great, but I love that they coordinate and you can't beat an $8.99 on sale price for 48 sheets per stack at J's.  Okay, so I admit, I may have overdone it on the papers, but better have too many than not enough , right?!?! :)

I've decided to keep the layouts on the simple side and since most of the Cricut cuts are "cutesy," I haven't added too many at this point...especially with professional photos.

Here's the first ones I've done...

All papers are from DCWV stack unless listed otherwise...

The paper for the next layout was printed with the Cricut Imagine Vintage Papers Cartridge and the font was cut from Nate's ABCs.

The phrase was cut from Teresa Collins Sophisticated Cricut Cartridge and the football cut is from Sports Mania.
