BBTB2 Challenge - Bring on the Bunnies

This week's Bitten by the Bug 2 challenge is "Bring on the Bunnies" - use a bunny from any Cricut cartridge.

For this challenge, I knew that I wanted to use my absolute favorite bunny cut - Thumper from the Disney Classic Cricut cartridge.  Throughout my life, I have had several bunnies as pets and this Cricut cut reminds me so much of them.  At one point I had 5 house bunnies; 3 were adopted from the local humane society and the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society.  Bunnies are very intelligent creatures - they can be litter box trained and they love to hop around and play with toys.

Now, on to my card.  Thumper was cut at 1.5" and popped up on the card using foam squares.  The circles were cut from Cricut Craft Room Basics.  Isn't Thumper just precious?!?!

Below are some pictures of my bunnies.

Tolstoy and Copernicus (Copper for short)

Clover - Mini Lop

Dusty - Blue Dutch pedigreed

Bugsy - Mini Rex

Harvey (short for Harvard) - Mini Lop

On a roll...

Today I managed to get motivated and complete 4 more pages.  If I can keep up this pace the next few days, I should have my friends' album done by the end of the week (fingers crossed).

Paper is DCWV The Guy Stack.  The scallop circle is Cricut Craft Room Basics and the phrase frame is printed with the Imagine Kate's Kitchen cartridge.  The phrase was printed from my photo printer onto the frame.

Paper is some old paper from Hot off the Press / Paper Pizazz that I've had in my stash.  The angel is cut from the Christmas Solutions cartridge.

Patterned paper from DCWV The Guy Stack and solid is from DCWV the Bright Stack.  Font is Mickey Font.

This last layout is scraplifted from the Cricut Design Team.  Cartridges used are Accent Essentials for the scallop square, Plantin Schoolbook for "a Boy's" and the remainder of the cuts are from Stand and Salute.

Pilgrim Squirrel

Hi!

Hope you all had a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Today I am sharing a Thanksgiving Card with you that I made for a friend at work.  There has been lots of "talk" about the Create a Critter 2 cartridge that I figured it was time to pull out the original Create a Critter cartridge.

The Squirrel and hat are cut at 3.5" from the Create a Critter cartridge - the hat is from the turkey on the cartridge.  I used the gypsy hide contours feature so that the eyes would not cut.  The band on the hat was cut by hand and I used the gypsy to layer 2 squares to cut the hat buckle.  Patterned cardstock is DCWV Harvest Matstack.

Peachy Keen Teddy Bear face stamps were used for the eyes, all cuts were inked with Distressed Ink and the nose was accented with Crystal Lacquer.
