Here's this month's Cricut Circle Challenge!

The Challenge: Create a project of your choice utilizing your Cricut Cut Images to create a scene!  Your project must include atleast 2 different Cricut Image Cuts.

Rules and Guidelines: Circle Blog Challenges are open to Cricut Circle Members only. You can create any type of project you would like (tag, altered project, mini album, etc.) but your project must be newly created for this challenge and include atleast 2 Cricut Image Cuts. You must submit a project to be entered into the Challenge Prize Drawing.

Here's my project for the challenge.  Several months ago, I saw a layout and I just fell in love with it, so that is what I recreated for this challenge.  Unfortunately, I visit so many creative and very talented blogs, I don't remember where I saw it.  If I happen to come across it again, I will post the credit here.

This layout is made from the Joys of the Season cartridge.

Cricut Circle Sisters Fall Blog Hop

Hi,

Welcome to our Fabulous Fall Blog Hop!  This is my first time participating in a blog hop and I'm super excited to have you here.  If you found this page from another spot and want to start from the beginning, please click here to start at Kristen's blog.  We have 23 very talented ladies in today's line up, so you'll want to be sure to check them all out.

Today I have two fall layouts to share with you.  The fall colors are some of my favorites!  Please click on the pictures to enlarge.

My first project is a one page layout using pictures from last year.  We took a trip to Ebert's Greenhouse Village. which is like a farm/greenhouse that has a ton of fun fall activities for the kids - including a bouncy house, face painting, pumpkin slingshot, hay rides, pumpkins, candy shop and more.  They even have these extremely large and beautiful mums.  Anywho, these are some of the pictures from that trip.

 Paper - DCWV Amber Autumn
Gypsy Font - Celebrate cut at 1" and welded on the gypsy
Simply Charmed - boy and girl scarecrows at 3.5"
Straight from the Nest - Fall cut at 1"
 Cotton Candy Stickles
 Pop Dots

My second project is a two page layout using pictures from 2 years ago.  We don't get many leaves in our yard, so my daughter and a neighbor girl collected leaves from one of our other neighbors to make this leaf pile to jump in.

 Paper - DCWV
Stretch your Imagination - Trees at 8" & 10", Autumn title
 Creative Memories leaves punch

Thank you for stopping!  If you have time, please feel free to check out my gallery page for more projects.  I hope you enjoyed your visit.  Your next stop is Tammy's blog!

Locks of Love

Now that the news is out, I can officially post this!  My little 1st grader decided that she wanted to cut her hair and donate it to Locks of Love.  I'm so very proud of her - what an absolutely grown-up decision.  She needed to have a minimum of 10".

She really loves her new hair style.  When the stylist was cutting her hair, she remarked "Now I won't have any outfits to go with my new haircut.  I'll have to go shopping!"  Spoken like a true diva!

Ahh, you can definitely tell that I'm a scrapbooker with my step by step photos of the process.  LOL

JULY CRICUT CIRCLE POP-UP NEIGHBORHOOD CONTEST!

I've set a new goal for myself!  My goal is to try and enter all of the Cricut Circle monthly and weekly contests this year.  And, to enter the Cricut Circle Magazine challenges, IF I have everything needed for them already in my stash.

This month's Cricut Circle magazine contest was to use the Circle exclusive Pop Up Neighborhood cartridge for this new contest! This cart is very versatile and I love that the contest gave me a chance to explore it deeper.  For the contest, we couldcreate any kind of project - home décor, Layout, Card or mixed media project.

Contest Rules: Use at least 4 Cricut Cuts from Pop-up Neighborhood Cartridge in your design and ppload to the Cricut Circle Blog by Friday, August 12th.  Not a problem I have 14 images in total and 11 unique images on this two-page layout.

Here's my creation.  This is the first time that I just started by drawing a sketch.  Normally, I start with my pictures and go from there, but there were so many cuts from this cartridge that I just knew I wanted to use.  All of the cuts on here are from pop-up neighborhood.  I also used 3 different Cuttlebug embossing folders, diamond glaze (on the tire swing and the lamp post), liquid pearls, pop dots and distressed ink on the images.  The paper is primarily DCWV.

The girl and the mom are cut at 1" - let me tell you, this had itty bitty, teeny tiny pieces.  It took lots of patience to put these together (and fingers crossed that they would cut nicely).

Please feel free to leave a comment to let me know how you think it turned out!

More Mexico Pages

Good Evening!  I hope y'all had a fantastic Tuesday!

Tonight, I'm sharing with you another 2-page layout from our Mexico trip.  I've realized that I take way tooooo many pictures.  And, although I'm trying to really scrap just the ones I love the most, it may still take me 3 years to get this book done - LOL.

This layout is the view from the fabulous 2 bedroom suite we had at the Marival Residences in Puerto Vallarta.  I loved being able to sit out on the balconies and hear the waves crashing on the beach - to me that is one of the most relaxing sounds.

The font and palm trees on this layout are from Life's A Beach. This was also my first time trying the cricut markers (look closely at the font and palm fronds) - I really like the look, but not sure how often I'll use it.

The gypsy was also used to weld the letters together to form the title.  With so many pics, I kept the embellishments minimal.

Hi There!

Today I'm sharing a two-page layout with you.  This is from one of our many trips to Mexico.  We went to downtown Puerto Vallarta and ate at Senor Frogs.  The balloon hats they made us were a big hit!

Cartridges used were Hello Kitty, Create a Critter, Plantin Schoolbook, Gypsy Wanderings and Everyday Paper Dolls
