Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell, Jingle Bell Rock

Happy New Year's Eve Everyone!

At school, my daughter made the cutest Christmas gifts for us out of paint stir sticks.  The first is a snowman and the second has three jingle bells and a rock glued to it...jingle bell, jingle bell, jingle bell, rock!  I was super impressed with her 2nd grade teacher's creativeness on these.

What perfect way to scrapbook a "rock" page than with Rock Princess!  Jingle Bell phrases were welded on the gypsy using Gypsy Font.  All other cuts are from Rock Princess.  Some of the cuts came out too small, so for the whites of the eyes I used a white gel pen and for the lips I used a pink pen.  Paper is Recollections - Bright and Jolly.

Quick Xmas Tags

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to share a quick, easy and cute Christmas tag with you.

The tag and shadow are from the TBBM cartridge cut at 3".  The buckle I welded together on the gypsy using squares from Plantin Schoolbook.  The buttons are iRock Glam Rocks - Metallic Pearl.  Gold Stickles were used on the belt buckle.

Christmas Cards

What a busy weekend!  My daughter, Sophia, had three holiday recital performances for her dance academy - one on Saturday night and two on Sunday afternoon.  Although I wasn't thrilled about another weekend being dedicated to dance, it was a great show and all of the dancers did a fabulous job!

Since next week is her dance academy Christmas party, I made up some quick cards for Sophia to give to her team coach, office manager and the academy owner along with their Christmas presents.  The paper is printed on the Cricut Imagine from the Mr. Frosty cartridge and the images are for the Simply Charmed cartridge at 3.2"

Stick on gems were used for they eyes and the cuts were inked with distressed inks.  Sentiment stamp is from My Pink Stamper.

Birthday Diva Card

Hi Everyone!

Below is a card I made for my niece's birthday.  The skull (cut at 2.3") and diva phrase (cut at 1") are from the Rock Princess Cartridge.  The zebra paper is printed from the Teresa Collins Black and White cartridge onto pink Bazzill cardstock - I was surprised that it turned out pink with purple zebra stripes instead of pink with gray or black stripes, but the purple actually worked out perfectly.

The pink mat is embossed with the swirls cuttlebug folder.

Teddy Bear Swap

Back in September I signed up for a Teddy Bear Swap on the Cricut Circle Message board hosted by Rockin Renee.  We had until November 10th to make and mail our bears from the Teddy Bear Parade Cricut Cartridge.

I needed to make 25 of each bear (50 bears in all) at 5" and in return I will receive one of each of the different 50 bears in return.  Since I should be receiving the bears any day now, I thought I would share the two I created.

I used distressed ink on both bears for added dimension and crystal effects on their noses.  The first is the basketball bear - his headband is embellished with FlowerSoft, the #1 on his uniform has purple stickles and the basketball is embossed using the cuttlebug.  I originally tried to use flock on his headband, but found that the FlowerSoft gave it a better terrycloth look.

Next is the school girl bear - I used liquid pearls on her glasses, added a tiny button to her vest and used actual ribbon instead of the cut out from the cartridge.  For the apple, metallic red paper was used to give it the shiny apple look.

I can't wait to get them and see everyone's creativity!

Trip to the ER

Thursday night we had to make a trip to the Emergency Room.  My daughter was helping make cookies and fell off the stool in the kitchen.  We didn't realize at first that she had a chin laceration until we had her lay down.  Off to the emergency room we went - thank goodness it wasn't busy.  After some shots to numb the area, the doctor put in 4 stitches and did tell us she would end up with a small scar.

Baptism Card

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I am super excited that today my goddaughter will be baptised.  I was very honored when my friends asked me to be their daughter's godmother!

Of course such an occasion just has to have a handmade card!  I saw a baby card on the cricut circle blog about a year ago and thought it would be perfect.  My version utilized only items from my stash and is a bit simpler than the one I saw.

The card base and the moon are all from the Campin' Critters cartridge.  Patterned paper is Recollections - All Girl and Ki Memories  - Enchanting.

I used distressed ink on the cuts, glitter, dimensionals and an iRock pearl embellishment.
