Summerfest!

Well I haven't been getting much scrapbooking or card making done these days.  I did make 20 thank you cards for my daughter to send out for the gifts she received on her b'day - but other than that I haven't been very motivated.  Maybe a long weekend will provide me with much need time to focus on my passion and some motivation.

Summerfest officially started (the World's Largest Music Festival) and we're going with some friends tomorrow.  Not looking forward to temps in the 90s (100-110 with the heat index), but hoping there will be a breeze off of Lake Michigan.

Here's some pics from last year.

And, always a favorite, the sky glider - my husband and daughter are in the red one

Crazy Driver

Enjoying her new birthday present!  Of course she wanted a pink one, but the Barbie Escalade didn't come with all of her requirements - must have cup holders, seat belts, a working radio and room to carry her "babies."  She loves that she can carry stuff around in the back of the vehicle too.

Sponge Lover

Here's another page I did recently.  The pics are from last year, but I finally decided to tackle putting together SpongeBob.  He's cut out at 5" and I couldn't believe how many tiny parts there were especially on his socks.

Sophia just loves the SpongeBob ice cream - the part she likes the most is his gumball eyes!  I thought the Sponge Lover title, which comes from the cricut cart, was appropriate.

One more try. . .

It's been about a year since I first attempted the blog thing. So, I'm going to take another stab at it. . .just not sure I'll have the time to keep up with it.

Anyway, I'm attaching some pictures of recent scrapbook pages I've made. I've been trying to do the Cricut Circle Challenges as motivation to keep up with completing my pages quicker.

This first one is inspired from a layout in the Cricut Circle Magazine. The houses are from the Cricut Popup Neighborhood Cartridge and the font is Jubilee. I though this layout was perfect for a picture of our house when we first moved in. My favorite touch is our kittens outside of the blue house cut.

This second page is of pictures taken on Sophia's last day of school with her fancy shoes. She is such a fashionista - she put the whole outfit together herself and it looks fabulous. This page was for the Imaginisce Cricut Circle Challenge. It uses 2 different Imaginise papers, I-Rock crystals and I-Rock Pearl and 4 Cricut Image Cuts all from Once Upon a Princess.
